Required Course Materials: Neat and professional attire for preschool lab and internship days. No short shorts, crop-tops, short skirts/dresses, jeans with holes, or yoga/sweat pants. Headphones. 

This program is designed to introduce students to career paths in education and early childhood programs and services.  The foundations of this program is to also prepare students for teaching in any capacity as well as careers that relate to having a strong knowledge base in child development and human services.  Students will prepare a career ready portfolio complete with well written lesson plans, work samples, cover letter, resume and documentation of trainings, credentials and experience.  Second year students are able to apply for internships to work in classrooms or programs that align with individual career goals and interests.

Available to: Juniors and Seniors

Students earn a Level I Early Childhood Education (ECE) credentials through Gateways to Opportunity, with a possibility to earn scholarship money and will also receive hands on experience working with children in our on-site preschool lab.
